Keegan Matuszek

Keegan has always enjoyed working with all types of animals. They discovered a passion for building relationships and understanding through training and are especially appreciative of a dog’s special role in a person’s life; all of their dogs have taught them something different, and have contributed to shaping them as a person. Keegan strongly believes training should be fun for both the dog and the people participating and that we can utilize the time we spend caring for our dog’s needs to build a connection with them with training games and play. Keegan shares their life with one human, three dogs, two cats, and other small animals. They spend their time hiking, crafting, and in various sports and companion activities with their crew. Coming from a family of generations of educators, they value learning and hope to continue participating regularly in continuing education to expand their abilities and bring their best when working with dogs and people.

Keegan has been training professionally since 2017 and is a Karen Pryor Academy Certified Training Partner, Fear Free Certified Professional, Certified Family Dog Mediator through the L.E.G.S.® Applied Ethology Family Dog Mediation® Professional Course, and American Kennel Club CGC Approved Evaluator. They also held a Professional Dog Trainer Certification through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers from 2020 to 2023. Keegan enjoys pursuing additional education and is a Diamond Member of the Grisha Stewart Academy. Their dogs participate in various activities and have earned qualifying scores and titles in Tricks, Barn Hunt, Rally Obedience, Fast Coursing Ability Tests, and the American Kennel Club’s Family Dog Program.
