Cal Corona
Private Trainer
Pronouns: (he/him/his)
Cal has loved dogs since childhood, but began exploring his passion in 2013 when he trained his first service dog. This snowballed into a career change just after Cal graduated with his B.S. in Geology in 2019.
Since this shift, he has enjoyed working most with high energy, high drive dogs and helping them process and work through their big feelings. He is an Accredited Dog Trainer (ADT) from the IAABC.
Beyond his work with companion dogs, Cal has a passion for working and sport dogs. Most of Cal’s own dogs work as service dogs or detection dogs, or are sport dogs in Rally, Obedience, Scentwork, Agility, SAR sport, and IGP.
Cal lives with his husband, Jasper, and six dogs on their small farm south of Raleigh. When he’s not training his dogs, he can usually be found in his workshop making dog equipment, building furniture, or doing various repairs around the farm.
