Jasper Fisher
Training Assistant & In-Home Pet Sitter
Pronouns: (he/him/his)
A lifelong resident of the NC Piedmont, Jasper is an avid outdoorsman, equestrian, and former service dog handler. He lives with his husband, Cal, on their small hobby farm south of Raleigh where they offer Board & Train. Jasper is certified in Pet CPR and First Aid by Pet Tech.
Throughout his childhood, Jasper fostered a passion for living and working with animals of all varieties. He particularly enjoys spending time with companion dogs and horses, but also appreciates working farm dogs, hunting dogs, search & rescue dogs, and conservation dogs.
Before choosing to pursue his passion of working with dogs, Jasper spent time volunteering in the Junior Curator program of the Raleigh Museum of Natural Sciences and at a local exotic animal sanctuary, where he specialized in exotic animal and reptile husbandry.
Jasper currently has his eyes set on furthering his education in rewards based training with both dogs and horses. As an equestrian since early childhood, he is passionate about further normalizing a rewards-based learning approach for horses.
Outside of work, you can find Jasper outside – camping, fishing, gardening, cooking, or playing & training his own dogs. Pepper (pictured), an 11 year old pointer mix, is Jasper’s retired service dog. She spends her days hunting for moles and lounging alongside her sister Sadie, a 12 year old Shih-Tzu. Jasper and Cal co-own Okkoto, their 2 year old German Shepherd. Okkoto enjoys playing fetch, swimming, and giving his siblings a hard time.
