Katherine Pritchard
Group Class Instructor & Private Trainer
Pronouns: (she/her/hers)
As a crossover trainer, Katherine brings a unique background to her training. Her main focus is on the relationship between the owner and dog- and how to make the process fun for both. By utilizing rewards and a focus on communication, Katherine aims to not only train dogs but also empower owners to actively participate in their pets’ learning process.
Katherine’s passion lies in working with high drive and high arousal dogs who don’t seem to fit the typical “pet dog” mold. Her knowledge and skills come from professional experience with working, sport, and pet dogs, as well as a financially problematic addiction to buying every dog training webinar that looks interesting.
Her dog Juno, a high arousal dog who struggled with reactivity and severe separation anxiety taught her a lot about how to use rewards based training with dogs who didn’t want to work for food. (Ask her about how much Juno hated food!)
When she’s not working, she is almost always spending time with Juno- you can find them looking crazy with toy training in any pet friendly store, napping, or on a sniffari. On the rare moment Juno is home alone, they both spend the entire time missing each other.
